The Effects of Birth Control
I know I haven't updated in a long while. I'm back in school, and it's taking its toll on my free time. Between classwork during the week, and partying like a rockstar Thursday-Sunday, there's only so much time left. I should have one up by the end of the week. In the meantime, read this article. Seriously. It blew my mind.

Here's my biggest issue with that article: The suggestion is that, because those few fertile days of wanting a masculine man are gone, women are no longer interested in masculine men. But I have a hard time believing that women will choose a life partner (and, generally speaking, a child-bearing partner) based only on the attraction felt in those couple of days a month. It just doesn't seem substantial enough to me.
ReplyDeleteAlright, now it's the end of the week and I have to let you know that your audience is not-so-patiently waiting for another post. I know school work is important, but you have PEOPLE here. Geez!
ReplyDeleteI agree to a point. But the point is, when women are able to conceive is when they feel this strong attraction to masculine men. So no, if a woman gets into a long-term relationship with a guy, then it will undoubtedly be based on her feelings towards him throughout the entire cycle (they shift throughout the whole cycle, not just for a couple days a month). But if a woman is to have a one-night stand, or have an affair, or something else, and she conceives, it will most likely have been with a more masculine guy. Birth control leaves that out of the mix altogether.
